David Sparks Commercial Photography - Interiors and Architectural Photographer in Grand Rapids, Michigan

This past January, I shot this cozy cottage in Macatawa, Michigan, for the 2019 holiday issue of Cottages and Bungalows Magazine out now! The owner, Marta (www.mackinawroad.com / IG: @mackinawroad), was so much fun to work with. That fall/winter, we had a white Thanksgiving and a green Christmas (seems to be a recurring theme these days!), so we pushed the shoot all the way into late January when we actually got some substantial snowfall. Marta’s neighbors probably wondered why her home was still decked out with Christmas decorations! I have no idea how I made it up the extremely steep, winding road up to her cottage with all that snowfall.
